Jože Krajcar from Gornji Senik was mobilized into the German army in September 1944. He was captured at Frankfurt upon arrival of the Red Army and sent to the Kharkiv prison camp in present-day Ukraine on June 8, 1945, where he, in great shortage, helped the effort to rebuild the ruined town.
